Discectomy
Surgery is over. I’m home “recuperating”. Not sure what that means - I’m taking more Hydrocodone than ever and still on Fentanyl.
Anyway - the pain is almost completely gone from right leg, so that’s good. In my left leg, the cramping and hip pain is gone, but it has been replaced with a sciatica pain down the leg. In addition, I’ve lost a lot of muscle mass in my left leg and the pain makes it difficult to flex my ankle or toes - so my doctor’s orders to “walk as much as possible” are painful to follow. But - I want to get better, so I walk.
Thanks to my sister Maria and my partner Steve for all their help - if you ever meet them, they deserve all your sympathy.
BTW - can you see all the acne on my back in the picture? I never had it growing up, but steroids galore since the hospital stay have made me break out.
