For the first time in a long time, we didn't actually participate in the pride parade. Instead, we walked around the parade gathering spots and then watched the parade from Cafe Complique on Westheimer with Pat and Jim, Joe and Leo, and Ron.

Steve spends quality time with Weldon at the Krewe of Olympus booth. Note the Diet Coke hidden in the brown paper wrapper.

Pride 004 Working

Rex pretends to put some last-minute touches on the float. I actually didn't do anything: Ken and Rene did most of the work.

Here we are watching from our table at Cafe Complique.

Pride 016 Watchers

Here's another picture. I kept this photo because it turned out so weird: Joe is waving and smiling; Jim seems to be glaring with devil-red eyes; Steve is happy - but half his face is missing; Ron is staring off into space; and the waiter in the background is standing guard.

Pride 025 Float

Another picture of out float as it sails away. We were number 107 out of about 130. The parade started on time at 8:45, but the "O" float brokedown and the parade stopped for about 15 minutes. The whole parade was over by 11:15.
