Quinn is in town
My old friend Quinn is in town with "Hairspray" (he's the road manager). I hadn't talked with him in a few years (since the "events at Fire Island regarding Gidget") - not that we were mad at each other, it's just we lost contact for a bit and never regained contact. Anyway, he's here in town and we met last night at Meteor for a drink. Interestingly, he was chatting with our friend Chuck - who was a friend of Quinn's roommate. Small world, eh?

Houston Black Tie Dinner
Another dismal showing by the gay community to raise funds. This time, the excuse was "it's too far outside the city". Apparently, an eight minute drive one time a year is too much to expect from the shallow, selfish gays and lesbians of Houston. Steve and I had a good time, though, at this year's Houston Black Tie Dinner.

George W Bush wins the election
Hmmm. Not sure what I can say here (don't forget, I didn't vote for Kerry or Bush). Click on the "More" to see my middling-to-worst case predictions and my probable predictions.

Republicans stealing yard signs
So much for the Republicans claiming the high road in politics. My friend, Clif Grim, has videos of Republicans stealing his yard signs for John Kerry and Richard Morrison. (Note that Clif lives in a normal, middle class suburb of Houston.) I certainly believe that Democrats have engaged in their fair share of these petty antics - it's just that they don't claim to be morally superior to the Republicans at the same time. (By the way - I'm a Libertarian...)

Leaving Las Vegas
Just back from a weekend in Las Vegas where my NAGVA 'B' volleyball team finished in 8th (or so) place. We had a good time playing, as well as visiting the sights. Stayed at New York, New York (again) - which was quite acceptable.
