Joe and Leo's party

Our friends Joe and Leo held a great pool party at their house. As usual, there were lots of our friends there. Steve and I arrived fashionably on time at 4:40 PM and no one was there: as a matter of fact, they were still setting up for the party - very odd, indeed. What happened was that they had postponed the party from the week before because of the Tropical Depression (which ended up causing a lot of soggy ground around Houston.) In the new invitation, I didn't notice that they had moved the party start time from 4 PM until 5 PM. So, rather than being on-time for the party, we were quite early.

Electoral Vote

There's a great website that shows a map of the predicted presidential election results based on various polls. Interestingly, even though Kerry and Bush are neck-and-neck in the general polls, Bush has an easy win based on the Electoral College.
