Hurricane Claudette
I forgot to mention that when the hurricane hit (Tuesday, 7/15/03), our aging elm tree in the backyard fell on our house. The only damage done was that the corner of the gutter came apart. See the pictures of Hurricane Claudette.

Denim Party
Went to the Denim Party at the BRB on Sunday, July 29. The crowd was the usual crowd for this event. We spoke to a couple of new people, and visited with old friends.

The bad news? Beer was free, but Steve had to pay $1.75 (plus tip) for a Diet Coke. When will people who throw these parties realize that soft drinks should be free, too?

Austin
Steve and I went to Austin the weekend of July 26. Hippie Hollow during the day was fun - not a lot of people, and there was a breeze. We stayed at the Stephen Austin hotel, which was very nice. We visited the local nightspots and left on Sunday morning at 10:00, like we usually do.
