Al Gore: An Inconvenient Truth

Al Gore in a blue shirt on a blue background. My friends Clif and Terry told me about Al Gore's upcoming lecture in Houston put on by The Progressive Forum, Houston, and associated summer movie (watch the trailer.) I'm interested in what he has to say. I read State of Fear, so it's only fair that I see an alternative viewpoint.

Rolling Stone: Bush - The Worst President in History?

Cover of Rolling Stone magazine showing George Bush in a dunce cap on a stool.Rolling Stone's article, The Worst President in History? is interesting (they also link to their 1999 article on Bush) (Here's the original article from the History News Network, which I haven't read.) I'm not saying that Rolling Stone is accurate or inaccurate, merely that it's interesting (I ran across an interesting blog on this subject, too - dave's not here).

I Googled for a well-reasoned rebuttal to the information in the article, but could't find one too quickly - I'll be glad to read anything that doesn't say "Clinton started a war in Bosina" or "Kerry would have been worse." I'm looking for something that indicates positive results for the majority of Americans that are directly ascribable to Bush. I'll also accept positive results that may not be direct, but that are logical conclusions. I'm most concerned about how Bush has improved the lives of the handicapped, public school children, the poor, the lower middle class, the middle class, working mothers, stay at home mothers, and agnostics/atheists.

Body Worlds 3

poster for bodyworlds3 in houston. man on horse. We went to see Body Worlds 3 at the Museum of Natural Science. It was very tastefully done and not at all creepy or gory. My favorite exhibit was the horse and the rider. P.S. There were lots of penises.
